Creating Two New Novels. Writing One Chapter Weekly. Podcasting As I Go. Welcome to The Experiment.
I call it, “motivation.”
I considered calling it, “crazy”, “not the wisest of choices” and “a really bad idea”, but in the end, I landed on “motivation.”
The truth is that I tend to do better when people are watching me. I’ve desired to write a full novel for a while now, but as long as it stayed one of my quiet little goals, it also stayed untouched. I need check points. I need deadlines. I need expectations. I need – motivation.
And here we are! 2012 and between podcasting, recording equipment, you, me and a Mac, I have all of the motivation I need.
Here is the plan from my side:
Tuesday – Sunday: Spend the week writing, editing, and recording a new Chapter to one of my first two novels, “Disillusioned,” and “Enough for Four”, and update you on my progress along the way via this blog and Twitter.
Monday: I’ll upload that chapter to my blog and let you know about it.
Here is the plan from your side:
Tuesday – Sunday: Follow my updates, write comments, send your love, encourage me through my darkest hours (otherwise known as writer’s block), ask your questions, & freely speculate as to what will happen next.
Monday: Enjoy listening to the new chapter!
Sounds a little intense now that it’s in writing, but that’s what I thrive on! Plus, I have a slight advantage. I wrote the first three chapters of, “Disillusioned” in 2007, which puts me a few weeks ahead of schedule. After that…the real fun begins! Here’s to hoping this will be a rewarding and fun experience for all of us!
